My goals for presenation 2

1. Preparation/Rehearsal
Hopefully I would be able to rehearsal more with my friends in order to give a concise and smoother presenation the last one. I would use the slides I have made last time on "how to wisely shop", so i dont have to make the slides, therefore, i would focus on making my notes easy to understand and interesting to listen to.
2. Content / Overall Impression
I am going to talk about how to shop wisely, one because i love shopping, and two, this presentation is a reminder for myself, since sometimes I tend to buy too many things... But i hope i can talk about this topic with enthusiasm and make it interesting for the audience.
3. Voice
I want to speak at a speed so that everyone would be able to listen to. Also I want to speak loud and clear.
4. Body Language
I dont want to overuse it, because my last presentation, i felt like i had unncessary moves that should be eliminated when giving a presentation.
5. Visuals
I will make a powerpoint and use effective pictures in order for the audience to remember my points and learn something from it.

  1. Things I liked!:
    - Repetition of the points was very effective and they remained in my mind. Bringing 10000yen and giving example and asking questions kept audience's attention fixed.

    Suggestions:
    - In Q&A, more clarifications before answering might have been better.

  2. I totally loved your presentation! Very effective use of repetition and the real objects (10000yen and the jacket).

Suggestions: Clarifications of the Q from the audience could have made your entire presentation even a better one.

  4. The overall impression I got was that it was really easy to follow! I liked the visuals and how you actually wore the coat (: I loved the background of the power point, too!

suggestions: maybe being careful about the slides' order? some slides were skipped and it went forth and back and sometimes hard to follow.

  5. Things I liked:
I like your style of review so much. It suggests me that I have to organize my review time more. To add, I feel that you used some metaphorical phrase like "#$%& is your friend." That was so effective.

    Suggestions:
Your presentation looked a little bit busy for me. Basically, your presentation was excellent but you can use pauses more.

the way you had conclusions after each section and how you let the audience answer the questions.

  9. Hi Maki,

Nice work on your "How to be a wise shopaholic" demonstrative presentation.

My general impression was that your three points were very practical for people who like to shop, and you spoke with excellent energy and rhythm throughout.

    Things I Liked:
-The Questions at the end to confirm the audience understood your points. Nice interactivity.
-Catchy topic phrases like Talk With Your Wallet. Some were hard to connect to your points, but the phrases were fun.
-Showing your oversize coat--Those 3D object visuals really leave an impression and make the point easy to remember.
-Great voice and body language in general. Very friendly and energetic.

    My suggestions for future presentations:

    1. The My Passion for Shopping slide seemed left over from Presentation No.1 and confused me, so focus slides more.

    2. Try to avoid nervous laugh when answering questions in Q&A. Relax! Be confident because you are obviously an excellent communicator.

    3. Did you need the script? You seemed dependent on your paper, but I thought you could communicate most points without it. Try practicing and presenting without a script--just leaving it on the table, perhaps--and that will improve your interaction with the audience and your eye contact (which was not bad, but can be even better in some parts).

    Nice speaking and keep improving!
